Direct Energy and Village of Lisbon Offer Residents and Small Businesses Natural Gas Price Direct Choice provides pricing stability during winter heating months

Lisbon, OH (9/28/2009) - With natural gas prices at an all-time low and heating season just around the corner, the Village of Lisbon has announced that it’s recommending Direct Energy’s natural gas services to the community’s residents and small businesses.

Through a new marketing agreement called Direct Choice, the Village of Lisbon is recommending to its citizens Direct Energy’s natural gas product priced at $.737 per ccf for the first year (November 2009 bill cycles through October 2010 bill cycles) of the two-year program.

”This Direct Choice program is extremely valuable for residents because it offers a 12-month fixed price that will shield customers from any potential increases in natural gas prices over the year.” said Michael Lewis, Mayor of Lisbon. “If people are looking to lock in to a great rate for the heating season, they should definitely think about enrolling in the community’s Direct Choice Program.”

In order to take advantage of the Direct Choice offer, residents need to be eligible to participate in the state’s customer choice program and have a residence or business located within the city limits. Also, residents must actively enroll into the Direct Choice Program to receive this price. If residents are already under contract with another supplier, but wish to enroll with Direct Energy, they should review their current contract to determine if they will be charged an early cancellation fee to switch suppliers.
